This is the glorious Muricanu K24 Murano glass chandelier, designed by Roberto Assenza and Francesco Dei Rossi for De Majo Illuminazione.

This beautiful piece is enormous, measuring two metres in both height and diameter, and weighing 120 kilogrammes. It is hard to get a good idea of just how big it is from a photograph!

The black painted chrome frame is adorned with beautiful leaves and berries made painstakingly by hand from black glass with a gold leaf interior, gold, red, white,melon yellow, ruby and clear Murano glass. Please see the photo on the left for incredible extra detail. Extra embellishment is provided by gold leaf.

Illumination is provided by either halogen or LED bulbs.
